September 5, 2024The business tour continued with a visit to Narutoya Bakery (鳴門屋製パン株式会社), a company that has been delighting its customers with quality and delicious baked goods for over 70 years. This visit was a true journey into the world of Japanese traditions and modern baking technologies.
Narutoya combines traditional baking methods with modern technologies to offer its customers fresh and natural products. During the visit, we were introduced to the company's history since its founding and learned about the key achievements that have allowed Narutoya to become a leader in its industry. We had a unique opportunity to visit the company's factory, where we observed all stages of production—from dough mixing to the packaging of finished products and their shipment to retail centers. One of the highlights of the tour was visiting Narutoya’s flagship stores, where the baked goods are prepared on-site and sold hot. The tasting of these products left us with an unforgettable impression.
We were particularly inspired by the meeting with the third-generation founder, who still personally manages Narutoya. He shared his wealth of experience, discussing how the company continues to win market share and customer trust, expand its product line through collaborations with various companies and farmers.
Our participants actively asked questions and received a wealth of useful information. We learned about modern work standards in the Japanese food industry and the current needs of the market. The meeting ended with an exchange of contacts and gifts, providing a perfect conclusion to this inspiring visit.
During the visit, we also learned that approximately 4 tons of flour are used daily at Narutoya's production facilities to supply everyone with the bakery's delicious goods. These impressive volumes are both astonishing and inspiring. This visit to Narutoya Bakery not only expanded our knowledge of the Japanese baking industry but also provided us with many positive emotions. We are confident that the knowledge and experiences gained will help our participants in the further development of their own businesses.
