The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Visited the Opening of OXFORD INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL in Khujand

The grand opening of the first OXFORD International School took place in Khujand on October 8. The construction of the school lasted for several years: Saidmurod Davlatov made his best to complete the construction specifically for the 30th anniversary of the independence of Tajikistan. The ceremony was attended by the President himself - Emomali Rahmon.

The school is designed for 550 students and 50 children of preschool age. Two 4-storey buildings of impressive size include all kinds of amenities: classrooms with modernized equipment, gym, cafeteria, canteen, assembly hall, computer labs, library and other spacious facilities.

The international school can issue its students both a Tajik-style diploma and a Cambridge certificate, which is recognized all over the world. The curriculum is based on Cambridge International Standards. At the moment, the school has 2 groups: international group with training in English, and Russian - with in-depth study of English. In addition, the school has a kindergarten and a preparatory class for children from 5 years old. There are 32 teachers who are working at the school, including 14 teachers from the UK, India, Philippines, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon and Canada.

Children are admitted on a competitive basis. Moreover, according to the results of the exams, the school will allocate scholarships to students with high academic performance.

“There is an expression: whoever builds schools closes prisons, whoever builds schools builds the future! It is with this hope that we built this school. We believe that the children who study in it will achieve great success! The tree you planted today will definitely bear fruits! Welcome to the Oxford School, Saidmurod Davlatov shared his emotions on the opening day.
